Feel sooooooooooooooo rubbish. just did a 10 hour overnight bus from Luang Prabang to Vientiane. It was so hot and uncomfy and my stupid seat wouldn't stay back, so every time we went over a bump I was catapulted forward into the seat in front. I hate buses - they're sent from the Devil - and the worst bit is that we're now waiting for a bus at 5pm to take us to Bangkok (12 hours!). We've paid twice the price for this one, so I'll be so mad if...

So we got back from Vang Viene yesterday afternoon. We decided to have Traditional Laos Herbal massages (since they're only $5 for 1 and a half hours!), which was a very pleasant experience. It involved stretching and massaging and then being massaged with a hot pillow filled with steaming herb - felt like I was being seasoned - half expected to be plopped in a giant cooking pot at the end!
