Hello everyone!! So we weve been in Boston and it really is a very nice city indeed, everyone we spoke to on the way that we told we were going to Boston said it was really nice and they wernt wrong!!
Our flight from Toronto was in a tiny little airplane that the wind blew all over the place but we landed safe and sound and went to our hostel which was right next to Fenway Park, so, naturally we figured we'd have to go see a baseball game! So off we went to see the Boston Red Sox take on Toronto Blue Jays (coincedence as we'd just flown in from there!!) So we queued up and bought our tickets, and a mandatory red sox t-shirt too and went to see the game. We were sat right behind the plate (thats where the batter stands for all you non baseball people) and cheered on our local team. Who lost!!! Although the atmosphere was good it was not as good as a footbell game in England, me and Kel thought this was largely due to the extremely good tempered and good sports that the two teams were to each other, (no swearing at the ref like back home!!).
Next day we went into town, Kels Urban Outrfitters radar was red hot again and we were led directly to her favopurite shop once more!! We spent the whole of the day looking round Boston and went to the harbour which is really nice also! and took a look round Fenuill market too and did various other sightseeing things! On the night we went to a few indie rock bars and got quite drunk round the university part of Boston!!! Sooooooo much fun was had!!!!!
On our 3rd day in boston we went to the sea life centre and took a look at all the little (and not so little) fishies, then after seeing them all swim about for a couple of hours, we decided we liked them better when they were dead and on our plate ready for eating so we found ourselves a seafood resteraunt to eat! That night we were both pretty tired (from frisbee, our new favourite game) so we just went to the cinema to watch a movie.
Our last day in Boston and we couldnt leave without visiting Harvard University, so we cought the metro over to Cambridge and went on a little sightseeing tour of the uni and its campus which is really really pretty, the uni grounds were stunning. Then later that night while looking for somewhere to eat we decided that we bored of american bar and grills serving chicken wings and ribs and steaks etc so we found ourselves a nice litte piece of england to eat in..... An indian, thats right we had a curry and a couple of beers!
It was a really good time in Boston and such a contrast to the falls, its a really nice city and the people there are really friendly too, even the tramps!!
Photos will follow shortly, we promise!!! Love to everyone (except those nasty burglars that broke into howellsys house) miss you all!!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
