g'day all! so landed down under yesterday at about 6 am here (we're now 9 hrs ahead of the UK) completely cream crackered after our solid 72 hours without a real bed! it was really really strange being back in a westernised country felt almost as though we could be in london or somewhere! its just so wierd for everything not to be wierd! thers no culture shock any more and i was kinda starting to like all that! despite our throrough knackered-ness we still had a pretty action packed day! saw erin's flat which was pretty lush, then took a ride in the Kombi van - steves little baby of a retro VW van which of course i totally want to steal!!! upto the northern beaches just outside sydney, went to Waratah park also known as the home of skippy the bush kangaroo! then saw the town where steveo grew up! the little b*****s school is like ten metres from the most gorgeous beach and they used to get detentions for checking the surf from their classrooms!!! grrr why wasnt I born in Aus?????? After that we headed up to Palm beach which is where Erin and steve are gonna be getting married!! had a look at the venue which is gorgeous i'm so jealous that I'm not gonna be around! Palm beach is also where they film home and away so had my photo taken in front of 'Summer Bay Surf Club' and as it turns out steve used to be a life guard at the real club so we even got to have a quick peak at the latest script!!! we then headed up to the Baron Joey lighthouse at the end of the bay which was immense it was a bit of a trek but the view was well worth it we could see all down the coast and all of pittswater which was pretty sweet! after all that walking we decided that we'd eraned ourselves a few beers so headed down to one of Steve's old haunts and met up with a coule of guys that ez and I met when they were living in London which was a good laugh! headed home for some Thai take out - I can't stop eating the stuff even though we left the country already! then headed out to the pub again to watch some massively hyped up boxing fight with a few of steves mates - although i guess the hype wasnt enough for me cos i fell asleep and missed most of the fight anyway! ah well it had been a very long day i was impressed that I lasted that long!!! gonna do a big tour of the city tomorrow i think which should be pretty cool! And then i'm going shopping for wedding dresses with Erin how surreal is that!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?! toodles love y'all
