Hello sorry it's been awhile! At the moment I'm at Cameron Highlands it's freezing compaired to everywhere else and rains alot!!
I'll recap for the last few days
So in Penang the second day we were there we booked to do a half day tour around George town (where we were staying) and around the temples all over Penang, it was soooooo hot!! Honestly i did not know what to do with myself we were jumping from shadow to shadow to keep out of the sun! The first part was like being dragged round by your parents to the national trust but then we went to this massive temple right up in the hills which was amazing!! The statue was so high and the buildings were so beautiful and built with such precision!! So being the respectful person I am we looked around, took some photos and then started to pose like buddas! Alot of fun!
I found out that my Chinese year is a dragon so I have a neckles now that tells me why I'm like a dragon and a photo posed as a dragon with a dragon!
When we finished the tour we went to little india which was great apart from we were all tired from walking round in the sun so we decided to go for lunch obv in an Indian restaurant was delicious!
After lunch I was fed up and opted for an air-conditioned afternoon back at the room so me and Dan decided we would get a rickshaw back, seemed like a great idea at the time.
We flagged one down and the man looked like he might die on the spot honestly he was so old!! But he insisted we use his! So we squished in we must have been going one mile per hour it was hilarious!! We could see the rest of the group walking ahead, at one point he got off an pushed us up a hill! I felt so guilty we should have been pushing him.
Anyway had a great rest and we went for some food at traditional malaysian Market, most people bottled it and went to the mcdonalds across the road lol but I stayed and it was nice!
After tea we decided a group drinking session would be a good bonding exercise (well the English and the Irish did anyway) we went onto the roof of the building and chatted played drinking games got to loud and had to go to someones room to finish the beer because we got kick out. Whoops!
That was the end of Penang!
The next day we travelled to where I am now it was a long drive with lots of winded roads up massive hills getting gradually colder! I played the cube on my iPod to keep me entertained I nearly won £250,000 but lost at the last game! Gutted!
So we got here and went for a late lunch at a small indian I was stuffed once I'd finished!! Then we had wonder about and some people were meeting for tea at 7.30 so we headed down with them. I had beer instead of food because i was too full! After that we headed to a bar called travellers bar and had a few beers (and a few more) whilst watching a concert from 2001 I think it was prince charles birthday?? Either way it was amazing I sang to all the songs!!
We left and went to a dingy bar called jungle bar (yes original names) and it was grotty, a squat toilet ect but with Bob Marley on in the background you can't complain!
Today!! Was one of the best days so far!!!!! It was ACE!!
We booked a trekking tour to see a tea plantation, aboriginals with blow pipes, strawberry farm and a butterfly house!
We started at the butterfly house, I think I have got wussy in my old age I hated the butterflies and all the creepy crawleys but loved the beautiful flowers so was happy taking photos of them. After that we went to the tea plantation which was beautiful just miles of green! Hill apon hill apon hill! Brilliant and breath taking! We had a tour around the factory and got chance to taste the tea which was grose!
Next was trekking OMG!!! I thought we would walk on a path through the jungle I was sooo wrong! It was climbing through it hauling yourself over branches and vines ,leaves and lots of mud! I had the best time and was covered in mud! I was the first girl back! I would defiantly recommend it honestly it was my highlight so far!! Love it!
Because we were covered in mud we stopped at the strawberry farm to clean our shoes (or hose ourselves from head to toe) I didn't get any strawberries but apparently they were good.
We came back to the hotel after that to change and get lunch, I was so hungry it was about half 2 and I had been climbing in a jungle all morning!!
The buses picked us up again and we headed for the aboriginals home he showed us how to use a blow pipe and then we got a go! I'm not going to lie I nailed it! We had a teddy and I got it right in the heart my newest talent! Get in! He called himself micheal jackson which was weird but anyway he took us down to the waterfalls and we had photos there it was also very beautiful! The last thing we did was watch them play bamboo drums and sing and dance I obv went to play but there was already to many people so I was made to dance with wako jacko the aboriginal man it was hilarious I even slipped in a moon walk!!
That's pretty much it for now, we go to kuala lumpur tomorrow which is ashame because the tour de Malaysia starts here on the 27th lol! Oh well!
Anyway I'll try keep up to date better this is far to long lol!
Ps I had loads of food and I can't remember what but either way it was good and there was alot!!
