Friday 8th March 2013
So we woke up and packed our little tent up and packed up the car to head to Margaret River. We were staying in a campsite west of Margaret River next to the coast in Prevelly, with the guess we may be a while waiting for our regional work.
The drive down was lovely once again, it is very secnic around here, lots of trees, vine yeard. The car was playing up a little bit again, I hate this damned thing. Wish I could burn it!
It was Friday, so we headed into town as there are some offices that help out finding fruit picking jobs. Well all in all they were unhelpful and generally crap! We also brought an airbed as the ground was getting way to hard and my back was killing me! It was the best purchase ever! But Stu was too stingy to buy a pump so he had to blow the mattress up!
The town was quite cute and there are plenty (millions!) of vine yards around the area. We headed back to camp and checked gumtree and emailed a few ads for jobs hoping we would hear from them!

As we didn't have much to do we headed down to the beach to waste the day, hoping we would hear back from someone soon!
The area round here is very dead, not surprising since there was a huge bushfire that came through the area in 2011. There is a lot of rejuvenation projects to help the land and wildlife to recover. (I have later found out that the farm I am working on suffered really badly from this fire.)
We went for a walk along the beach and enjoyed our day by the beach, but we are hoping to get work soon!
Sunday 10th March 2013
The one thing I hate is waiting around for a phone call! We went for another walk to the beach and watched the surfers ride the waves and fall off!
We didn't do a lot again! We watched a few movies just passing the time! We did go and get ice cream which was the highlight of my day!
Monday 11th March 2013
We went into town to get some food and go to the library to try and fill our form to get our bond back from our landlord in Perth.
We received a phone call from Andy as the farm we had applied to, and we got the job! Finally!!! A little bit of luck! We headed to the garden/tool shop and brought some gum boots (wellies to us) and got a $100 of shopping each.
We packed up our car which is VERY full now, and made the trip towards Nannup/Lake Jasper.
We are really out in the sticks here! No phone reception, no towns, not really many road signs either! We made it to the farm and met our new room mates/co-workers! They all seem really nice! We got to bed early considering we had to be up at 3am to go and milk at 3:30!
