We tried to catch sunrise but the Aussies and a few others were taking their sweet time so we missed it. We finally left camp and passed some wild horses with foals, it was a really great sight to see first thing in the morning.
We were spending our day at the waterfalls today, Gunlom falls. It was another steep climb once again but one we reached the top WOW! The view off the pools was stunning! Gunlom falls has a natural infinity pool which looked something straight out of a brochure! No words can describe how amazing these falls were.
None of us hesitated about getting in the water! The water was crystal clear and pretty chilly too! The sun had came out in full force today so it was really nice to cool down in the water. We spent most of the day here which was fine with me!
We had to leave as we were dropping the Aussies off and picking up three people for the next day of the tour. It was a seriously long drive out of Kakadu! I forget how big Australia is sometimes!
We arrived at our camp for the night which was really nice caravan park with our own section for tour groups. We had an awesome dinner that Josh cooked and we spent the rest of the evening putting the world to right!
We were in our swags tonight but the girls were to scared and slept in tents, to be fair I wish I put a mossie tent up as I was biting a fair bit but as my face was the only thing exposed my face was the only thing bitten. Brilliant! It also decided too rain to quite heavily so Stu and I had to get out and drag our swags under cover of the kitchen.
