Kim's European Journey
We went to a three story Chinese restaurant on a boat for dinner last night. It was horrible. Sadly disappointing and I'm not sure when the next time I will be able to eat Chinese is.
Breakfast on the boat this morning was a vast improvement to our past meals. By the time everyone was ready, it was time for lunch again. So we sat for an hour and a half at a sports restaurant while our mildly stupid waitress repeatedly forgot to serve us. Rach and I went to the Van Gogh Museum, which is a small and I believe, a public museum. The first floor was a wonderful collection of Van Goghs and the descriptions on the walls walk you through his life. It was an interesting time line to see how his styles changed with his life. "The Bedroom" and "The potato eaters" are two of the more famous works they have, as well as many self portraits. The museum also has a small collection of other artists, mostly from the same era. There is at least one painting from Cezanne, Monet, Manet, Pissaro, Picasso and Toulouse-Latrec.
The streets are very busy here and we have the constant concern of being run over by a 1, car 2, tram 3. biker 4. bike taxi.
I really need to find a laundermat before we leave for Switzerland tomorrow. Hopefully this afternoon.
Train tomorrow to Zurich 8:00pm
Train from Zurich to Interlaken on Monday morning-ish.
