We have started our trip early with a curry and culture night. We all met at Bill and Judy's house for a chat with Mr Dorrington. We shared some of our expectations and went through the itinerary. Mr Dorrington had to leave so we got ready to go out to dinner at the Punjabi Palace at West End. We all experimented with the food and practiced some Hindi phrases on the bus back. When we got back to Bill and Judy's house we all gave our presentations about some of the places we will be visiting. This helped us to get really excited about our trip. When we had finished, we watched some documentaries called 'The Story Of India" so we could understand some of the cultural and religious underpinnings of the places we are going to visit.
Overall, it was a great night and a good bonding experience for the start of our journey.
