We finally stopped for the night outside Abilene, TX after a very long trip through DFW. Not only was the traffic horrible, as usual, but we drove right into a storm with a tornado warning. We thought we may make it out of Texas today but it didn’t happen.
We are camped right on the river and neither of us even walked down to see it. That will have to wait until morning.

Mom I’m sorry it was so bad. Last night was good for us but the storm that was supposed to be here by 11 has been here since 8. Not for us yet . It supposed to be here till after 7 tonight. But all is well so far. Roux hasn’t showed up yet. Please be careful. Love you both. Mom

Sondra Johnston Finkbeiner We love you too, Mom. All is great now. New Mexico is beautiful so far. Planning to visit Santa Fe today. We had a nice, quiet spot to ourselves in the National Forest yesterday. We walked, stretched our legs and explored till time to eat our delicious MRE and hit the sack! Love you so much!
