Yesterday afternoon I had another first, my first Dairy Queen. We all went in and had 'Blizzards' which which is basically thick ice cream with appropriate flavoring served in a cup. As a gimmick the cashiers turn them upside down too show how thick they are, we all tried it a few times but it still felt weird holding a cup up by a spoon and no top. As usual in America the smallest one was a bit too big for me to eat it all, hell there advertising a 64oz soda on the radio - apparently one can never have enough soda.
We camped at a nice site by a dam last night in the Nevada desert. Pretty uneventful appart from a small gopher snake that snuggled up to our van in the afternoon. Decided to not bother with the tent and slept under the stars, I think I'll keep doing this while we're in they dry country.
This morning we are on another big drive through boring landscape with very straight roads. Interesting fact about the major roads here, the interstates, in every five miles one mile of road has to be straight so it can be used as an emergency aircraft landing strip in times of war.
Went to my biggest Wal Mart yet this morning in Winnemucca, Nevada. We had a competion to get a photo with a member of Wal Mart staff and the fattest American in the store. Judging will be tonight.
