Sevilla is a very, very, very hot place, this is possibly the reason why everyone goes out late in the evening and stays out until early in the morning. Its just too hot to go out any other time!!! At present it is spring and yesterdays temperatures were in the high 30s at four o'clock in the afternoon.

Did a lot of walking around in the heat, following the small winding alleys through the streets past the alfresco tapas bars and cobbled streets. It certainly has atmosphere. One other excellent feature of Sevilla is its gardens, in suh a dry hot place luxurient green folliage is really a god send to be able to chillout in the shadow of. I partook in another great Spanish tradition yesterday afternoon, that of siesta when relexing in the welcome shade in the Marie -Louisa park I dozed off.
