One of Jamie's big surprises last week was that there is 'gang' activity at her new school and even in her class. She was a class on corporations and business and used an abbreviation on the board for Burger King (we still don't understand its significance) and this sparked a few gang involved students to start 'dissin' each other which apparently lead to a fight at lunch time. She was understandably taken back by having sparked friction between the school yard 'Crypts and Bloods', names I've only heard on Worlds Hardest Prisons, but her colleagues assure her that the gang members in Edenton are only try hard versions of the real gangs. Its a stretch from how I remember school.......

Since I'm in gang banger mode I'll 'send dis out' in in the appropriate vernacular;

Me and J Fo cruised to her 'rents pad (near Charlotte) fo' labor day.

We kicked it at a party fo' her Granny.

Den we chilled at her 'rents lake house fo' da holiday.

Now we back in the hood til we go to the (Outer) Banks on Wen-as-day.

Hope hurricane Hanna doesn't blow us away....word.
