Back to Green Turtle Bay Marina. This concludes our side trip to Nashville, 336 miles, 11 days, anchored out twice, 2 locks and countless Asian Carp jumping and countless good times with friends. It was really exciting to look up at the condo from the deck of our boat, where 2 years ago I stood staring at the Cumberland River thinking, wow I can't wait to come here on our boat.
One of the challenges with this side trip was the lack of access to supplies, but that is one of the best parts of GTB (Green Turtle Bay). As soon as we docked we signed up to use the courtesy car. After a quick lunch with several other loopers, Mark & Karen (Kay Dee) joined us for a run to Walmart. It is strange how exciting it can be going to Walmart (or any other grocery store).
In addition to our Walmart run, we had several packages waiting for us at the marina. GTB is great about receiving packages. One of our packages has been here for 10 days. They do not mind holding packages for the loopers.
Tomorrow we will be leaving GTB and Lake Barkley and traveling down the Tennessee River and Lake Kentucky. Our first stop will be Paris Landing State Park Marina.
