Today Angel and I are celebrating seven years together. The last seven years have been wonderful, and I cannot wait to see what the next seven years bring to us.
The weather made today's trip cold and raw. It was cold enough that I put on long pants. We cannot get south fast enough! Hopefully there will not be many more "long pants" days.
The run from Goose Pond to Ditto Landing was uneventful. We had one lock to go through, but once again the lock was ready for us as we pulled up. Today is also Cheri's (Cheri Baby) birthday and we took advantage of the fact that the lock's act as a giant echo chamber to sing Happy Birthday to her. My guess is we sounded bad enough, that the lockmaster could not get us out fast enough.
Dan & Cheri (Cheri Baby) made chilli and invited us, Mark & Karen (Kay Dee), and Tom & Val (Wine & Roses) over for dinner. I spent the afternoon making cornbread for dinner, and pumpkin pies. They pumpkin pies were a test to see how they would turn out in the air fryer. They turned out pretty good, now as we plan our Friendsgiving, I know we can bring pies.
Thursday we plan to make a 70 mile run to Joe Wheeler State Park.
