sharon's ventures down under
Hi all,
Well i am still here in Bundaberg, I am now 5 weeks into working here and i am still alive. To be honest its not too bad here, the hostel is still really nice and the weather is improving - i think it is around 25 degrees in the day and about 12 at night. Work is going really well, it is probably the easiest job i have had so far, as the patients just turn up, get treated and then there is minimal paperwork. I am seeing both children and people who have had a hand injury. I have got another 7 or 8 weeks left of work, and i am sure they will go as quickly as the first 5. There are a great group of people here, and they are all staying for a few months to get their 2nd year visas. My days off at the moment are spent lounging around by the pool most of the time, well there isnt much else to do here that is cheap. I quite fancy going out to a couple of the islands but they all cost money and i am trying to save to go to new zealand in october. i have to do something here, i cant spend 3 months here in bundaberg and not do or see anything! But the good thing is the tan is topping up nicely. Most weekends we have been out in town and hit the local night spot - the central - many a drunken night has been spent there! We actually avoided that last night when a group of about 20 of us when 10 pin bowling,we had a good night all round, but needless to say my bowling was up to its normal standards! I have been lucky on the man front, as the last couple of weeks i have i snogged an irish guy and a local aussie - yes you may say it, what i am i like with irish guys - there are loads staying in this hostel so i am in my element. Anyway on that note i have to go, and cook some dinner - oh the exciting life that i lead!
Bye for now
sharon
