Day 3 Venice
This morning we took the vaporetto to the Peggy Guggenheim Museum. It is the house she lived in and the collection has a piece every major contemporary artist . We spent a long time sitting on the front terrace watching the boat traffic. Next we took the vaporetto to Ca d'Ora, a neighborhood away from the tourist center. Still crowded and hot. Europeans don't seem to care. I can report that we have been to EVERY souvenir shop in Venice.
A break this afternoon and then our much anticipated gondola ride.
Just finished the gondola ride and it was so interesting to ride through the small canals - Venice has serious problems with their decaying properties. I also have noticed a decided decline in their cheerfulness- maybe it is all the tourists , but I am guessing it is their economy. And they have so many counter productive rules.still it is an amazing place and the girls have loved it. We stopped in a neighborhood campo for dinner and it is a genuine Italian trattoria.
Italy is pretty. Someone rubbed butts with katherine on a boat.

Lilly, josie and I definitely didn't find the museum as interesting as Mimoo and we were constantly trying to find somewhere to sit, but it was still interesting to see. The gondola ride was beautiful and our last day in Venice was fun!

Today was so fun! It was amazing going on the gondola, and going to the museum! But I can't wait for Florence tomorrow and the leather market!
