Yellowstone is huge; offering geysers, waterfalls, hiking, awesome camping, mud pools and loads of wildlife. Highlights included Bison, black bears and osprey. Signs at the trailheads certainly add a bit of intensity to your hike with advice on what to do if you encounter a grizzly. Luckily (and unfortunately) we didn't see one. Our camp ground neighbours (Randell and Doug) deserve a mention as we learnt from these drunken cats that you can survive anywhere if you have bark and that putting all your wood in the fire pit makes a huge fire (ragin' cajun as they referred to it as) - it certainly kept us amused...
Catching up and spending 2 days exploring Yellowstone with Nick and Sue was also a highlight. A massive thanks to you both for treating us to a bison burger at the local saloon bar (complete with Bison and Moose trophy heads). Awesome fun guys...
Aaron's tasting notes - what better way to spend our last night here than with Nick and Sue sampling the local beers at the bar. Scepter Head by Draught Works and Hopulant IPA by Epic Brewing Company where particularly nice (from what I can remember anyway...!!!)
