After 4 days of hiking we were looking forward to a couple of days in the city. San Francisco was awesome (not including the traffic), we started our city break with a big american breakfast (waffles, pancakes and shakes) at the 50s style Louis Diner. Yosemite National Park provided some more awesome hiking (most notably Glacier Point and Vernal and Nevada falls), amazing views, more amazing views and flame grilled burgers cooked on Laura's first assisted fire...

More huge trees, amazing meadows, canyons, rivers and an amazing drive... Aaron's tasting notes - a nice selection of local beers: California 99 Golden Ale and General Sherman IPA by Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Company and Yosemite Pale Ale and Tuolumne Meadows IPA by Mammoth Brewing Company accompanied the campfire a stars - awesome...

After a few days on the coast we headed back inland to experience some of California's National Parks. Sequoia was first with it huge trees (and the General Sherman; the largest tree, by mass, in the world), awesome hiking, meadows, bears (yes - wild bears on the hiking trails - pretty crazy but super cool) and a return to campfires...

Santa Cruz - this place sounds as awesome as it is; tea on the beach, sunsets, surfing, sea otters, seals, the boardwalk, historic giant dipper, log flume, arcades, hippies and lots of fun.
