Vancouver Island is mega. We started off with a random but cool night in Nanaimo (thanks to Ali, Kelly and Coco), kayaked in Tofino, stayed by the beach in Ucluelet, swam in the quarry, stayed at a sweet Eco house in the middle of the forest (thanks Steve), enjoyed spending time with James and Deb at the wicked Fog Ducker cottage, enjoyed awesome salads and food at Jean and Phil's (a massive thank you to Jean and Phil for your awesome hospitality), tubing down th...

We took a punt on this cool little hippy island because we picked up a map and we are glad we did. We spent a few days here doing some awesome hiking, sweet camping, indulging in local produce, swimming the local lakes, getting stuffed at El Loco Taco (Mexican food truck) and watching sunsets with the local brew... After a cool hike to Garibaldi Lake we spent a week in Whistler relaxing, riding and drinking. Highlights include riding the whistler trails, beer fuelled hot tub sessions, drinking pickle backs, poutine, peak to peak, hiking in the mountains, more riding and enjoying more than a few beers from Whistler Brewing Company... Aaron's tasting notes - a nice cold pint of analogue 78 kolsch went down nicely after a day's riding.

We spent a fun couple of days in Vancouver (Kitsilano) with Jamie, Steve and Lisa enjoying the beach, swimming, watching fireworks, drinking double caesars & generally just hanging out. After 9 weeks, over 6,500 miles, and 11 states (excluding Hawaii) we reached our final stop in America - old fashioned little Port Townsend. We lucked out arriving on a Thursday night, music night on the pier. We spent the evening watching local music and drinking local beer as the sun set over the ocean - quality...
