The rain eventually stopped and the first sights of the snow capped spectacular Rocky Mountains started to come into view through the clouds. The snow, hikers with skies and relentless Grizzly bear warning signs meant we where now in Alberta. We braved the snowing conditions (we only had shorts...!!!) to enjoy spectacular views of Lake Louise and partly freeze at the campsite (although the log fire kitchen helped us thaw out in the evening). More excellent views ...

Nelson is a cool spot tucked away in the Kootenay mountains and offered a nice two day break from driving. We stayed at probably one of the poshest hostels we will ever stay at whilst checking out the historic downtown, doing some awesome yet crazy hiking (including a close encounter with a bear...!!!) and eating some awesome food.

Probably one of the sweetest camping spots on on the whole trip...

After days of rain driving across BC, the weather eased slightly for us to do a few small hikes in Revelstoke National Park. However, it was still cold up at the summit so we found a sweet log cabin up there with a log fire and relaxed with a nice warm brew...

After a BIG day of driving from Vancouver Island via some awesome friends we just made it to Hope in time for a Rambo snap...
