Next stop VEGAS BABY! We stayed there 3 nights and it like nowhere else on earth - we spent the first day wandering round the various casinos on the main strip - they r all really impressive - we went to Treasure island, the Flamingo, the Bellagio, the Mirage and a few more. I managed to stop Martin from gambling away all our money - in the end we just lost a few dollars on the slot machines - we wanted to have a go at the card games but didn't as we don't know how to play any of them! Maybe we'l to become card sharks and return to Vegas to make his millions! All the hotels in Vegas r huge - aparently Vegas has 18 out of the worlds top 20 largest hotels. Its quite a tacky place with loads of strip joints but it quite a cool place to go to for a few days - on our last night we went to Freemont st in Vegas which is a street which is covered over with a digital screen which displays american images and they play music every 30min. It was a good night and in vegas u can wander round the streets with a drink in ur hand which is pretty good - i can now drink a whole bottle of light beer (i don't normally like beer so that is an achievement for me), which is pretty much all u get here (much to Martins disgust!) We did a day trip to the Grand Canyon form Vegas aswell - we hadn't quite realised that it takes 6 hrs to get there from vegas so it was a long day but worth it as the views were quite spectacular. Thats 1 wonder of the world down, 6 to go (although i'm not quite sure what the other r!) Thats all for Vegas xx
