Vaggarna hade varit vita men fargen hade lossnat. Fy fan.

We didn't take the job.
We got to Napier yesterday after 7 hours on the bus, nice trip actually got to see a lot. Anyway, took a taxi to the cottage where we were supposed to live and it was a shack, a horrible shack which used to be white but the paint is coming off. THe inside was worse, the whole house was squint and the so called room where we were supposed to stay was horrible. It wasn't even a real room! It was a conservatory or was suppoed to be I think. It had one whole wall and the rest were windows, there were no curtains and no bedlinen, just two beds and filthy sheets! The floor had been patched up and has never been hoovered. We asked the German couple who lived there if there was a hoover but there wasn't, just a broom, A BROOM!
So we used the internet and the phone and one of the Germans gave us a lift back to Napier and we checked in to a hostel istead.
So a tip for all of you, do not take a job at Brookfield Farm in Napier. The job itself didn't sound soon good either, you would be counting apples for 9-10 hours a day. And the guy we spoke to Brendan Downey was an ass.
Napier is nice though, wouldn't mind staying here for a while. So we're thinking of maybe just having a holiday until the New Year and work after that. We'll see what happens today.
