Adventure of the Seas in on a heading of 52 degrees as she makes her way toward Southampton. The coast of mainland Portugal is roughly 500 miles east of us at present. After five days at sea it is strange to awaken and look out of the cabin window to see land. The nine islands of the Azores are dotted across the Atlantic Ocean some 900 miles west of mainland Portugal. Its quite hard to blog about sea days as after a few they tend to merge into one. As at home we tend to develop certain routines and habits. We always venture out onto the balcony first thing and Peter brings the coffees which is very nice. We shave, shower and decide what to wear. The morning air is definitely much cooler now we are farther north. There is a fresh breeze off the ocean but the sea is much calmer than previous days. It looks almost like glass.
