September 17th Monday
Since last Sunday afternoon, Adaire and Joshua took us to the train station for our next stop in Dallas. Unfortunately we couldn't wave off once we boarded the train cos it was full and we struggled to find the seats together. Luckily the staff managed to shift one guy to sit elsewhere with someone else so Daniel and I could sit together for the next 22 hours journey.
We would like to say a huge thanks to Adaire and Joshua, oh and not forgetting their pets too for welcoming us into their home, feeding us till we were full. We had a great experience to see how americans live etc. Our fave moments were to see the baseball game and of course fishing!
Next day after our arrival to Dallas, unfortunately Lisa wasn't feeling well so Daniel offered to carry her heavy rucksack! Brave of him!
We didn't have a problem of finding a train to our hostel destination. Once we found a hostel, it looked like a family house. The manager wasn't in so the aussie guy who was also staying in the hostel, showed us around and told us few infos about the location. While we were waiting for the manager, we decided to jump into the shower to refresh ourselves.
The manager finally turned up at about 6.30pm. It was a struggle for Lisa to understand him so she pointed that she was deaf. He came across in rude manner and wasn't exactly professional! We both were pleased that we aren't staying here too long as the house wasn't exactly clean.
In the evening, we just chilled out and planned for the next day in Dallas. We do have the free net at the hostel but it is so DAMN slow!! We were grateful that we did uploaded all the photos at Adaire's!
Eventually you will see the photo of Lisa's hair. She is managing so far without her precious hair straightener, though she is missing it!!
We are also missing our british teas like the newpaper article said :)
