Sept 5th Wednesday Early start for us - 5.30am wake up call to catch our Amtrak train at 6.45am to Chicago. It was a very long but comfortable journey (most of the time!) when the train wasn't shaking us side to side! The seats were big enough for us to curl up and sleep if we wanted to. Arrived to Chicago the next day at 11.30am (NYC Time) but its also a hour behind in Chicago (6 hrs behind from UK) so we actually arrived at 10.30am.

Sept 4th Tuesday We got up early to get the sightseeing tour bus to visit the Ground Zero and Statue of Liberty. It was a good ride, viewing from the roof-open top, seeing all the well known sights. Hey from New York! We have arrived to New York safely last night at about 7.30pm, which is 12.30am in your time! We managed to stay awake all the way till we got to the Hostel.
