Sunday Sept 9th
We had our lie in as we weren't in a rush to get to the city as we planned to go up the Sear Tower from 5pm. We found the leaflet that offered the 2nd person 50% off the admission fee from 5pm onwards. First of all, we went to the train station to book our tickets to Pontiac for the next day. We got the discounts again due to our deafness, so more money saved for us!
Then we just had a relaxing stroll around the Grant Park, having our lunch in front of the Buckingham Fountain.
We then decided to explore more of the city and found plenty of shops that we liked. We also popped into the bookshop called Borders, hoping to buy USA guidebook to give us ideas for our next few stops. We then decided to not to buy it as we thought we could always ask Adaire for advices. We ended up buying the Oz guidebook to prepare us what to expect and to plan for Oz.
5pm came along, we made our way to the Sear Tower and went up to the 102th floor. The views were lovely, just like the ones we saw at the Empire State Building. Daniel felt more safer within the Sear Tower cos it wasn't in the open.
It was our last day in the main city before going to Adaire's tomorrow at 1.45pm, only 1.5 hr journey, not like 28 hours, thanks god!!
