Tuesday 18th Sept

Got up late unfortunately as our beds weren't comfortable so we didn't sleep well. But then again, we were running late anyway because we need to book the hostel for our next stop which is Austin. So we arrived to the city of Dallas just after midday, went straight to the train station to book our next train to Austin on Thursday. Also we pre-booked our tickets to Tuscon on 22nd to visit a friend for a couple of nights.

We went to Reunion Tower to see the view of Dallas. It was very confusing cos we couldn't find the entrance to the tower, but luckily we asked somone who worked at the hotel nearby. Apparently the entrance was inside the hotel! We thought it was a strange entrance cos it was a very posh hotel! We were pleased it was only $2 entrance fee cos the observatory deck was quite bad, comparing to the ones we have experienced in New York and Chicago. BUT then what do you expect from $2 entrace fee?

When we went out to look around, stupid Lisa opened a bottle fizzy drink which was full of gas. Of course, unfortunately for her, the drink went all over her top! She had to walk around all day looking like that she is a big baby!

Aftewards, we searched for the place to have our packed lunch which was in the nearby park. After searching on the map and deciding where to go, we thought to visit JFK memorial Plaza. It was a quite unusual feature.

We then went into the Sixth Floor Museum where JF Kennedy was shot from. Unfortunately we weren't allowed to take photos. We thought it was a very good exhibition as all the films were subtitled so we can follow and imagine what it was like on the day.

Had a walkaround in West End till we were hot and sweaty, we decided to go back to the hostel and relax.

In the evening, we just planned our day to visit Fort Worth, hoping to experience the rodeo shows, all the western stuff. Daniel was sorting things out for that day while Lisa was screaming at the computer cos the internet was too slow for her to get about and do some searching!!

(NB: That is why the blog is a day behind cos we don't have patience to update everything, maybe later in the evening we will update what we have done today)
