Tuesday 22nd January

We didn't reach to Hervey Bay till 6.30am. As usual, we couldn't sleep well on the buses so you could say that we were pretty tired but due to the fresh air, we were wide awake. After checking in and dumped our bags, we had a look around in the town and the beach.
we also did bit of food shopping before returning back to the hostel. we then met the hostel cat who was so similar to Hans, Adaire's cat from Chicago. Obviously we couldn't resist to play with the cat. In fact his behaviour was so similar to the cat that Lisa had in the past, Cosmic.
In the afternoon, Lisa decided to have a shower, making the most of it before roughing it for the next 3 days! While she was having a shower, Daniel surprised her by booking ourselves to have a proper meal in the hostel restaurant which was a nice treat for ourselves.

Before we could have our meal which was booked for 8.30pm, we had to attend to the meeting about the adventure to Fraser Island at 6pm, which went on till almost 8pm! After watching couple of videos, we were getting worried as they were showing the mishaps that could happen to us such as 4x4 accidents, being stuck in the beach etc. After paying for the adventures, we then bought alcohol, ready for the trip. There was only 8 of us in the group so it was a small group comparing to what they said about yesterday's. There was 3 groups meaning they would need to hire 3 4x4 for them.

Once that was out of the way, we then waited for a short while before we could have our meals. That was very filling and yummy!

We then started to sort our stuff to take with us for the camping trip and had an early night as we had to leave our hostel by 7am!
