Day 13 Thur 8th Nov - Kovalam

Today we head off for a walk to the Lighthouse beach after breakfast, it feels good to be walking. It’s only a 20 mins stroll across the next bay where locals are laying their nets and fixing them or loading back onto their wooden boats. Locals share the shoreline with Egrets dipping their toes.

We reach the next bay and the lighthouse rises on the rocks ahead. We climb to the top with fantastic views of the coastline, villages and coconut groves. Some young lads stare at us and eventually pluck up courage to ask if they can take a photo with us and them, we of course oblige and do the same!

It is cloudy but the humidity is high so we decide to take this chance to take a Tuk-Tuk back to the hotel. A fab experience and thankfully not on any main roads!

Chilling for the rest of the day back at the pool we realise later we have caught the sun and curse ourselves for not putting on sun cream!

We have High Tea again and nothing after as we just don’t feel hungry. The Sky Bar is open tonight so we make our way there for some cocktails. A great night and both rather tipsy!
