From deep beneath the cobwebs of my memory a story has come to mind from my primary years. Usually, to jog a memory, there needs to be a connection between the present and the past, an association that correlates the here and now with the there and then. For me it was simply a tent.
The story was titled Room Enough, in which a little old farmer's wife complained to her doctor that she didn't have enough room in her little farm house. The doctor's orders were to bring the cat and dog inside her house. Naturally she is unhappy with the results, and so returns to the doctor, who then prescribes that the goat too should be brought inside. Her continued grievances result in the doctor's continued prescriptions to bring the cow, the pig, the chickens, and if I remember correctly, a small herd of sheep into the house. Finally, the lack of space is unbearable and the little old farmer's wife goes back to the doctor at her wit's end. His prescription at this time is to return all the animals to the barn, and the little old farmer's wife is utterly amazed at the amount of room in her home. In fact, there is room enough!
There have been many days on this trip where, like the little old farmer's wife, I have felt we just don't have enough room! But when the kids put up the tent and made everyone's beds together in the tiny little tent... the memory of this story sprang to mind. Together the five of us snuggled in for a cozy night of restless sleep. Like a small herd of sheep with arms and legs flailing, we listened to deep breathing, heavy sighs, and the relentless sound of falling rain!
There is no better way to really appreciate what you have than to no longer have it! Be it your bed, your house, or your family. I love my little trailer, I love my kids, and I love that we are snuggled together this year. There will always be room enough in my heart.

Jackie Gillespie Roz, what a wonderful way to feel about your trip and family. Enjoyed the story and sorry we could not get together. I had the knee surgery done last week and while it is still sore, I know the end results will be good. Hugs and much love to you and your special family. The kids are all growing up and I am sure Mr.Jim is watching down from Heaven on your trip. Love ya Jackie
