The Disney Circuit is over! Whew! What a rush! As much as I love Disney, Pooh Bear, Rafiki, and the amazing details that Walt Disney put into the entire experience, I am soooo glad it's over.
The highlights were the shows, the music (dancing in the street with my very own true love), the "live" characters, the intense details of every exhibition, the CANADIAN pavilion (I cried), and all the little girls dressed up in their favourite princess outfits! I would have loved to have captured on film all those amazing moments that only the magic of Disney can create.
On the other hand, I could also write a doctoral thesis on the parenting skills of the over indulgent and over stimulated. Again with my camera I wish I could have captured those moments of utter lawlessness - that leave you in shock and disbelief of what you have just witnessed. Our fun was in making bets by what time of the morning we would witness the first tantrum, swearing mother, screaming kid, or pouting child. Disney is after all, "The Happiest Place on Earth!"
Naomi: There are too many highlights for me to pick any one, but I was amazed by how much detail was put into every theme, attraction, event, and ride. Learning the story of Walt Disney who imagined all of it into being was great. I also loved that we saw the theatrical of my favourite movie, Beauty and the Beast (even if the nasty little girl in front of me stuck her tongue out at me!)
Eden: Disney World was a pretty neat place. There's a lot of thought, detail and creativity put into everything there. It's amazing to see what people can do with animatronics. My highlight was the Muppets and seeing Rafiki. I'm glad I didn't go when I was too little to care about the art behind all of it. But I don't think I need to go again! Florida is my favourite Gulf State.
Eli: Disney World was not what I expected but more than I expected. I expected it to be all thrill rides. There were some of those, but even the 2 mile an hour theme rides were fun because of their animation and innovation. My favourites were the Country Bear Jamboree, The Muppets, and Hollywood Studios. I was really impressed with how creative Walt Disney was in including everything from Animatronics, science, imagination and nature. His life story was pretty amazing. (I laughed, I cried, 2 thumbs up!)
Tim: The level of professionalism, the number of actual people working there, the attention to detail in the themes, the music, historical exhibits, and of course the pyrotechnics and explosions on the sets! One highlight was doing the parks with teenagers who also appreciated the scope of the entire event (confirmed by watching parents with four year olds or parents with sleeping children sitting in a very expensive park unable to do anything!) Disney's best invention is the Fast Pass - no long waits in line!
