Hi all, Arrived in koh phangan late last night - what a day! Left my room at 8am got a ferry at 9, got to krabi at 12 and had to get a motorbike taxi(scary when you have a backpack and rucksack to carry) to the crazy guest house place i stayed at before. Then she tried to sell me more stuff and get me to eat from there restaurant next door before finally getting the bus at 1pm. Got off the buss at 3.30 to be told i had the wrong ferry ticket (scam scam scam) and had to buy a whole new one. then I had to get a lift to this other place and then got a replacemnet ticket and then another place to wait for an hour and half before getting on another bus. Then... after 2 hours bus had to wait and hour or so for the ferry to leave and then get a taxi to haad rin - didnt get in until 11pm. It was okay though. Spoke to a girl who is a dive master/fire juggler on the ferry who lives in the perentian islands (where im going next) which was cool. i'll probably see her down there. got a taxi with all these irish people last night and we got accomodation sorted and went out for food. My room isn't too bad, its a wee hut next to the beach with a king size bed and not much else. i was so sure i got bitten by a spider last night and i jumped a mile but it must have been a dream. i still did a full half an hour search just in case. Today i am going to investigate the place and meet up with the irish folk later. Its my birthday tomorrow, not sure what fun i'll get up to! Happy birthday mummy (kathryn) lots of love Laura XX
