Last night was nice as I took a walk to the oldest part of the city and then I walked halfway across the Sydney Harbor bridge which gave me a spectacular view of the Sydney Opera House and the downtown skyline. I also went and looked around at a little museum near the base of the large steel arch bridge and learned some interesting facts about it. They also offered something called the Bridge climb where you are taken with a group and gone on a three and a half hour tour climb up to the very top of the bridge. This tour looks pretty fantastic and they have a bunch of pictures of famous people at the top who have taken the tour (A couple of the pics I saw included Matt Damon, Will Smith, and Bruce Springsteen). The biggest down fall is the price $200 seems a bit more then I would like to pay. I ended up crashing kind of early last night, I attempted to watch the new Predator movie with a couple of people on someones laptop but I kept nodding off and after fifteen minutes of basically sleeping I excused myself and hit the sack. I woke early in the morning and was off to see Darling Harbor which is actually close to my hostel I was staying at but I had not been to this part of the city. This is also where they have their navy maritime museum and I enjoyed seeing some of the old out of commission watercraft....my favorite had to be a submarine parked next to a gunship. It was around 8am and I was able to see the ferry come in an unload commuters going to work. I also walked across a small pedestrian bridge that went across Darling harbor and it was a cool experience to see everyone going to work on foot and by bikes. I end up going back to the hostel getting my things and headed to catch a bus to take me north of the city to the beach hostel I am at today. The beach hostel is very nice and I spent a couple of hours walking on the beach. I also watched some type of rescue competition for kids age range from 12-16. The main competition seemed to be to paddle out on a long board and around a outlined course and then return to shore on the board set that aside and then head out and swim the same outlined course. I watched the boys race and the one who won had a large margin of victory and he was out in front from the get go and held on through out the race.
