The drive from Seattle to Vancouver Was only 2 hours from tan and marks place, and it took us through some really nice places. When we hit the border we had to go through customs and border check, tan and tan got then run down as the other Tan looks Hispanic and gets mistaken for Spanish all the time. After the 20 questions we were allowed through the border and we allowed into Canada.
First stop was Vancouver. Vancouver is very much like Melbourne as everyone says. The city felt like home as we started to bar hop around and get some food into us. From our hotel room we had an awesome view over the lake with the snow capped mountains as a back drop. That night we went to an all you can eat sushi house ( there is a sushi place on almost ever corner) and it was fabulous. The tables came with their own BBQ that you cooked your meat on as well.
The next day we took a drive out to Whistler/blackcomb to go skiing for the day. The drive there is absolutely amazing and cannot describe how amazing the views are. Whistler itself is an awesome mountain. And you would need a week to just be able to ski every rub. The runs there are long too!! Snow on the mountain is so different to Melbourne with the snow bring very dry and very powdery. Plenty of fun was had skiing through all the powder.
The peak to peak gondola is another thing on whistler, that takes you from one mountain to the other, it is the longest gondola of it's kind in the world.
Take a look at the photos to see for yourself to see how beautiful it is.
Now it is off to Banff to catch up with Riza and Tash.
