Hey guys,

Well we made it off the boat in one piece, lucky without seeing a rat (one of the guys did decide to inform us that he had seen two while on the boat and he was staying in the opposite room to us! but decided to kept it to himself until we left!)

We did have to stay with a huge thick china spider which stayed in our room for two days as when one of the guys tried to catch it bloddy lost the thing, we nearly share a single bed, but decided that we were traveling and had to cope with things such as a spider!

The boat Journey was good had amazing scenery of the 3 gorges and was cool going through the dam! we also went on a smaller rowing boat with a diffrent guide called shirley she was so sweet snd gave us loads of information! - oh and made us all sing row row row your boat - really got into that! While on the boat we were the only white people (thats what they call us!!) while the rest were chinese tourist from other parts of china they all kept staring at us and taking sneaking photos so we said lets have a group photo and see how excited we could get the chinese tourist - well i gotta say they were loving it iv never seen so many flashes they all got their cameras out at once and started jumping in the photo too!!

After the boat bearing in mind we havent had a shower for two days, we then got on a 5 hour bus journey to take us to another city where we got on a 13 hour over night train at this point we had still not showered and had not slept properly and felt like we were moving even when we were standing still! Once off the train about 7am, Ricky (tour guide)announced 'a little problem... that out room was not ready for another couple of hours, so we were going to have a walking tour for about 40 minutes.!' we felt dirty and exhausted and had worn the same clothes for a couple of days!

Before the walkingtour we sat down for breakfast outside the hotel and you would not believe what we saw running accrosss the street, it wat the biggest dirtiest rat we had ever seen! i think it could probably smell how bad we spelt and followed us from the boat!!

The next place .... is amazin, its in the country and not so built up like the other cities we have visited and has the best view point in China,it has amazin mountains just dotted around, spectacular!

The walking tour was really good its not built up with skyscrapers like shanghai and bejing which is really nice they have lots of little markets and quite a few bars and resturants (yes we have checked out a china nightclub - will explain more on that in a bit!!) Its weird here in Yangshuo as this is how i expected china to look. however this part is alot more westernised than we first thought- so we are not getting stared at so much, we feel like we have lost our celebrity status!!

Anywho we went on another boat which was actually a bamboo raft more great scenery! after that we had dinner and went for a few drink with the tour groups a few drinks turned into alot of drinks when the barmen kept giving us free drinks as we were providing so much entertainment he wanted to keep us there!

a crazy chinese man was crazy dancing so we had a dance off with him i wacked out the worm and stephanie did the splits and then we went into a salsa routine im not gonna lie they were loving us! more free drinks came over to the table and then my karoke song came on (i will survive) this is when i thought it was necssary to sing all the words while standing on my chair i have to point out it was not a karoke club and yes you could hear me over the song, id like to say i had a round of applause at the end but for some strange reason i didnt!!

so.... got to bed very late and all liqured up and guess what we had to be up at 8 for another 3 hour bike ride and a 50 minute hike!! It was really fun and the scenery once again was spectacular!! we are off to dinner now without our tour guide and we have found a pizza pasta restaurant!!

tomorrow we are taking part in some classes, Stephaine is doing calligraphy and I am going to have a kung-fu lesson we cant wait very excited!!
