So it was yet another early morning this morning, not quite 4am but still pretty early... But it was perfect timing to spend an hour listening to joes presentation, critiquing it and generally praising it and being in awe! It was so good! A lot of hard work accumulating into a fantastic design and viva....! So proud of him...

Then a quick breakfast before packing up the room and putting cases into storage.... Which was the worst, most dysfunction, least reliable service I have ever encountered.... An electronic locking system on the door which had a code and a door that would electronically lock when it felt like.... Hmmm really happy about leaving all of my worldly goods here for the day.... We shouldn't have worried though as noone would have been able to get into it.... We couldn't and we had the "code"....!

After that fiasco it was time to go on the tour of la.... Highlights of santa Monica.... Stars homes, sunset blvd, rodeo drive, Hollywood blvd, Hollywood sign and finally universal park.....! Some of the stars are very security conscious.... Others (ahem Kevin kostner, I'm talking about you) leave their cars casually parked on the side walk....! But they lived on normal streets with "rich people" which the tour guide described as dentists, doctors and lawyers...... Now the idea that if we upped sticks and moved to la I could afford a house next to ben stiller (cool front door btw) and live in the constant year round sunshine, does make me question the "Dundee fiasco"..... Both are a mere flight a way no?! ;) then it was onto rodeo drive where I saw the pretty woman hotel and THAT shop! Too excited.... Fancied a spot of shopping... Of the window kind, you know a shop is expensive when they don't display price tags.... Oh and you can only shop by appointment only.... No wonder USA started the financial downside, very picky and not great business sense to encourage that.... Infant maybe rodeo drive was the epicentre for the downturn...;) Kat and I wasted no time in bringing the street now casual by climbing the sign post for photos.... Probs not the best idea, but it was fun! Then it was a quick ride to Hollywood..... Saw lots of stars, but most I didn't recognise names of.... But got quite excited when I did! Saw the cement handprints and you will be pleased to discover I refrained from mixing up my own bag ;) found the oscars took a few cheeky sneaky pics in the shop... Again, not the best idea.... But on the plus side, congrats to all who received them ;) then it was up to a vantage point of the hollywood sign..... Was a bit hazy but still nice to see. Final stop universal park.... Unfortunately not enough time to go in and enjoy the rides... Home to Santa monica with 3 hours to kill before getting to the airport... So we rinsed the Starbucks wifi and chilled and read books!

Then had the case being locked away fiasco then onto the airport.....

Flight left early (score) and writing this as I'm flying over Fiji.....10 hours into the flight.... And slightly confused as we are still in the dark..... We have just flown for 10 hours into the darkness.... And are still flying.... Whilst fast forwarding time..... So guys, hope you have had a fantastic May 1st 2012 as Kat and I will never experience this.... So would really appreciate it if anyone who reads this (thank you for sticking this far through) could comment on here what you got upto on your May 1st so we can see exactly what we have missed out on! Il be getting this printed at the end of my trip and would really love all of your memoirs and comments on each of my blog posts so I can have a complete and full memory of this amazing trip...!
