Today we went to the Maracana Stadium, which to be honest was as interesting as a football stadium could be..... Then we went up Sugarloaf Mountain which was amazing... There were wild monkeys up there as you all know I have to be really carefully as the woman who was selling me the expensive injections in England explained that if i didn have the injection (Which i didn't) if i monkey licked me i would die of Rabies.... Lucky i managed to escape.. LOL!

With only the map from the hotel (it only had three roads on it) we decided to have a walk around Rio. It absolutley poured down, by the time we realised we had walked in the complete wrong direction and found shelter I was soaked! We eventally found a bookshop which sold English guide books (which contain maps) so we have no excuse to get lost again!!We spend the rest of the day drying in a bar as the weather was too bad to go up Sugarloaf Mountain. My Dad arrived at 7am so we had breakie and got a Taxi. This ended up being a mini tour of Brazil, Mario - Taxi driver/tour guide - spoke no Englsih and was driving a heap of s*** which made the yellow/red doored Cinnequento from the Inbetweeners look like a limo.We went around copacobana then up to Corcovado to see Christ the Redeemer or "Christo" which looks absolutley massive in pictures is actually quite tiny. In ture Sarah style I started my adventure with the mother of all hangovers. NOTE TO SELF: Never drink 10 btls of Bulmers, a cocktail and your bestie mates wine before an 11.30 hour flight.
