Jeez, am i still here? The air was thick with dirty mossies tonight and then the reason became apparent. I only nipped onto town to get some cash and the heavens opened.

Obviously being from the uk I'm used to a bit of rain, this was something special. No sooner had I jumped off the local bus (Song Thow) when it came down. Even the Thais seemed amazed. For the next hour all we could do was hide from the downpour. Oh dear poor full mooners, they will get wet!! What was more amazing was the flash flooding, whilst we in the uk would come to a standstill the Thais would plow on with boots carrier bags on their heads. I've never seen flooding like it. When I hailed a bus home the high street water was up to my knee!!!

So ends my time on koh samui. I can't say I've done much apart from chillax and grow a beard. But that's what I'm here for and tomorrow I head for koh phan ghan. We shall see what awaits.....
