We were naturally the last to board the plane as dad had got caught up in his recount of the history of the Chinese empire. Though I was interested to learn things such as, unlike, other empires, the chinese have assimilated their invaders into the country. The result of which we now see as the VAST expanse of land and government united under the umbrella name of China. Anywho, dad had already made himself at home at the gate, his cords and gadgets charging and scattered around the outlets. Now, Im not saying here that dad is a mess, or has too many things.... But i think there is a disconnect between time constraints and the time it takes to get organized... Sometimes. The stuards were polite tho notably unpleased that we clearly weren't making an attempt to ready ourselves and scurry into the boarding line like everyone else. But we did eventually successfully board the plane to sit through the 15 hour flight that arcs over north western Canada and north pole! A 15000 km trip!

This plane is insane! The food is as ..... Almost as good as any restaurant, they have a rice cooker on board and you can even order eggs cooked fresh, however you like. We had our choice of some kind of tempura chicken, marinated steak or pesto/asiago cheese pasta, with a walnut cheese cake dessert. They also fed us a salad, bun and a giant cookie :) soo good. Best airplane food ive had yet! We get a snack and a fruity breakfast too ( I took a pic of the menu- check our our photos page in the airplane album)

The seats have all kind of fancy amenities like outlets for electronics, specialty turbulence cup holders and a personal TV with 100 awesome movies, 350 TV shows 888 specials/ documentaries offered in 9 languages and 35 games u can play with the retro nintendo style controller on the back of the tv remote.

I was joking with my pseudo-aunty lynn, on the ride to the airport, about how this huge selection of shows would still offer nothing of interest, but I have to say it is completely the opposite! New releases to classic movies are here. Old and new Tron movies, shawshank redemption, dead poets society, avatar, true grit, black swan, burlesque, Harry potter.... Just a great selection!
I'm having trouble sitting up and sleeping, caught a few hours of zzzs but I'm enjoying the movies so much I'd rather just stay up at this point!
