I'm lucky enough to have taken a year's break from work. I stopped work in August 07 and will be returning around August 08. I've already had a four month tour in the camper taking in Central Australlia, the Northern Territory, Cape York and the East Coast of Australia. I got back from this trip in mid December and have been busy doing chores and domestic duties (i.e. gardening, painting) around the house Launceston.

I didn't have a travel blogg for this first trip (unfortunately). However, I will endeavour to keep up some sort of record for my next little tour on this site. I don't wish to be a "slave" to this diary but it might be an interesting way of keeping a record of events. We'll see how it goes....

I plan to go travelling again in late March 08. I plan to drive through southern Australia and the West. I'll hopefully be up North West WA in early May and have time to tour around the Kimberleys. I'll then be taking a diagonal route through the Tanami desert (weather conditions allowing) to Alice Springs and from there accross and down through Birdsville back towards Melbourne. Well thats' the plan anyway?
