Steve and Kate took us out for lunch today at Sanctuary Cove (posh end of town!) for some seafood and it was amazing! I had garlic prawns with rice and they were the BEST garlic prawns I've ever had! Had a really nice afternoon, got back to Steve's and heard off Mum and Dad, apparently a volcano has errupted in Iceland and ash in the atmosphere over Europe has prevented planes from taking off, in fact all the UK airports are shut and all flights into and out of UK have been cancelled!

Mum and Dad's flight from Spain is cancelled so instead they've got to get an overnight coach to northern Spain then the ferry to Plymouth then home somehow! We keep speaking to Qantas, our flight home tomorrow has been cancelled, thank God we're at Steve's and not stranded somewhere random!

Should have been going home today but instead I spent the morning cleaning the apartment and not going anywhere! Just got to keep ringing Qantas.....

Still waiting for news from Qantas, the earliest they can get us on a flight would be May 6th! Today on the news it said they were opening up UK airports again soon so hopefully we'll be on the move soon.
Went to Australia Fair with Steve, Simon and Milo for a few beers that turned into shedloads of beer and a pretty mad night!

Went with Steve to the driving range then for a round of golf today. At first I was no good at all but before long it all came flooding back to me! We whacked a good few balls and then headed down the road for a serious game, yeah right! Steve had booked us a golf buggy and that was definitely one of the highlights, it was so funny razzing about in one of them! We originally planned to play 9 hole but we'd well and truly warmed up by then (plus the 'beer buggy' had been round twice!) so we decided to carry on and do the full 18. It was dark by the time we'd finished but it was a brilliant day, I'd forgotten how good golf is but the buggy is a hilarious addition! After a few cold refreshing cans of beer we were wheel spinning and skidding all over the place, brilliant!

Keep ringing Qantas, managed to get a flight via Frankfurt on May 4th so that's 2 days earlier but still pretty s***. I rang again after I'd been on the Qantas website and seen that they 've got flights to the UK for sale on May 1st! We're trying to get home and they're selling bloody tickets instead of putting the backlog like us on the plane! I rang and got us on the flight for the 1st so it's getting better slowly.

Simon and I spent the day at Harbour Town. We went to the cinema (Hot Tub TIme Machine) and then had barrimundi and chips for dinner. We decided to walk back, took us 2 hours and yes we did get lost but it was a good walk and we had a laugh so that's the main thing!

Went to Marina Keys for a $10 powerlunch with Steve and Milo, bob on!

Last night again!!! Went out for a Thai and very nice it was too! I'm looking forward to going home but I could easily stay here another couple of months or so!

It's time to go home! Said bye to Kate as we left for the airport. Sad saying bye to Steve again but we've seen a lot of each other and I've had the best time. It's weird going back to the UK, I'm used to going somewhere else now! Can't believe seven months is over, it's absolutely flown by. I've had the time of my life on this trip, a total once in a lifetime opportunity and I'll never forget it as long as I live, it's easily the best thing I've ever done! Just got to get this mammoth flight over and done with and we're home!
7.5hrs BrisVegas - Singapore, 13hrs Singapore - London, .45hrs London - Manchester, phew!

We're home! Got to Manchester around 08:40, Mum and Dad were waiting in arrivals, it was brilliant to see them! We got home, everything looks the same but different! Ran upstairs and looked in my wardrobe, yep, all my beautiful clothes and shoes were still there! Had a quick dive on my bed (I'd forgotten how comfy it is!) and had proper bacon, eggs and OATCAKES!! I just keep walking around the house appreciating everything we've got, i.e flushing toilets, shower!! It's been a while since we were in the campervan but I remember thinking to myself 'appreciate what you've got when you get home' 'cause when the toilet is non-existent and showers are few and far between you really miss it!
Spent the day catchin up with everyone, it was really good to see everybody, feeling glad to be home so far!

NONE OF MY CLOTHES FIT ME!!! Not impressed. I'm going on a diet as of now!!
Just wanted to say thanks for everyone if you've followed this to the end, we had a blast the whole time, we really have had the time of our lives and we'll never, ever forget it I can guarantee it ha ha! See you on the next adventure!....
