Hello everybody!
Well well well. I made it! The day started with a pint in the bar at Terminal 3 at Manchester Airport (at 11:00am) then I got on this aluminium tube with engines on. This machine then proceeded to toss 109 people (plus 5 crew) about for the next 1:15 like a washing machine. I've had runways overshot, landings aborted, landed in a blizzard, however; I have never dropped 1000 feet in 4 seconds. Vom.
Anyway, we landed at Charles De Gaulle Terminal 2E (The E stands for England as thats how frigging far it is from the rest of the airport) and jumped on a train to the City Centre. I got into Paris, got off the train, up the stairs and BLAM - Notre Damn in your face! Welcome to Paris.
Trekked up to find my Hotel, imagine Manchester's Northern Quarter but with more French people, dropped me bags off and wandered down to have a gander around the 1st Arrondissement. Pictures are on the Photos Tab under Day One.
Well, that's me done. Gonna get some sleep ready for a run at 7am (WTF??!?!), a free breakfast at 8am (Don't ask) and then smashing a day out around Paris... Tune in then kids!
Si x
