Drove down to Victor Harbour today what a pretty town all set on the bay with a long jetty that connects to Granit Isl. There was a carnival and the highlite of the town is the clydesdale hoeses that pull trams accross the jetty. We bought a ride one way . When you get to the isl. there is a walk way around the isl. where you see lovely views of the coast line. There was a rock wall that was built in 1882 it is 1000 ft. long 3 ft. wide at the top and 200 ft. wide at the base, every granit rock was pulled over by horse and cart a real feat. We had coffee and cake on the isl. then walked back accross the jetty. There is a lot of weed in the water and it is a haven for sea horse. There are 4 horses working and they do shifts they live on a property 3 miles away, they are ridden to town each day and taken for a swim before they start work. We wandered around town then went back to the van where we had prawn rolls while looking at a lovely view of the bay and granit isle.
We continued our drive down to Longhorne Creek to Frank Potts Reserve for the night.
