In Mysore I went to Chamundi Hill with an israelian girl in the daytime on the 16th and in the afternoon I went to see the famous and beautiful vegetable and fruit market and also the palace that is in the middle of the city. When I got back to the hotel I met an English couple whom I went to dine with and afterwards we went to a rooftop restaurant where we met with three people from the same hotel: one from Japan, one from England and one from Germany. We had a really cosy time talking and drinking beer and had breakfast together the next day before we all went in different directions.
However the English couple is going to Kochi as well as I am so I might meet them there. Time will show..
At this moment I am in Ooty, which is a stay that has been expanded with two days because of illness.
I went from Mysore on the 17th and arrived in Ooty at arround 6pm - at that time is was already getting cold.. Ooty is a town in the mountains (The Nilgiri Hills) and at this time of the year the temperature goes down to 0-2 degrees at night - freezing! especially when you haven't brought warm clothes. When I arrived I signed up for a trekking tour on the 18th but during the evening I felt ill and I went to bed early in the night - I had the worse night ever. It was terrible. So the trekking on the 18th had to be cancelled, and while all the others went off I was in bed the entire day sleeping and getting better. In the evening I felt a bit better and went out to dine with some people I met at the hotel (who by the way were very nice to me and looked after me while I was in bed) but unfortunately I almost couldn't eat anything and once again I went to bed early.
Today I feel better, though, so that's really nice. I have been to a tribal museum with a canadian girl and tomorrow I'll do the trekking that I had planned to do yesterday.
After Ooty I am going to Kochi in Kerala where the climate is much warmer - lovely! :) I leave Ooty on the 21st.
Hope you're all good.
