Dear all,

I have arrived in Mumbai and got safe to my hotel, which is okay but not fantastic.

It was hard to leave home but the thought of being here in India and on the journey I have planned for so long is amazing. I already love the smell of India but haven't really had time to get to know the rest of the country yet.

In a restaurant today I met a Danish couple who I am going to dine with tonight - it's very nice to have someone to spend time with. For the same reason I am looking forward to visit Oliver in Santacruz (another district in Mumbai - I live in the Colaba-district), where I am spending New Years Eve.

Well, there isn't really much to tell yet as a result of the short time I've been here. I just wanted to let you know that I have arrived safely.

P.S. I don't know when I will be available on Skype because this internet cafe does not at all have what it takes to talk online (microphone and speaker). But when I find such internet cafe, I'll log on.
