We got up fairly early (by Tara time anyhow) and ventured out into London, much to Tara's disappointment. We headed for the Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park and went through the stalls in the markets and looked at all the different rides. It was pretty quite so we decided to give one ride a go. It was pretty amusing - floors gave way when you were standing on them (only enough to give you a fright) and Tara on the rotating hamster wheelie thing was an absolute crack up (luckily, there was a mat on the floor on the other side). We had lunch there and then decided to venture to Buckingham Palace seem as though Tara didn't think she had seen it in her two visits to London this year. She was well over it by the time we got there but we took some photos anyhow and annoyed her some more =P
I suggested we visit a toy shop that Suzanne had said we HAD to visit if we got a chance but couldn't remember exactly where it was or what it was called...we ventured to Oxford St as I remembered that being included some where in the conversation and we wandered up and down and up and down and up and down Oxford St, looking at shop windows (Selfridges windows for Christmas were awesome!!) with Tara getting more and more upset traipsing along behind us. We went into a shop looking for a shirts and Tara smsed Seamus to find out the name of the shop....Hamley's, of course. We asked the security guard if he knew where Hamley's was and he pointed us one way down Oxford St. We hadn't got far when another security guard and the first one ran out after us (a bit scary...=P) to let us know it was actually the other way...
We got there eventually but Tara was over it. Even having a go on the remote control cars that flip over and turn their wheels couldn't cheer her up. There was so much to try in Hamley's. You can play with so many of the toys and they have loads of people there to show you how to play things. We did find a few cool things so bought those...and then headed back to the hotel to get our things before heading to Crawley for our last stop in England.
