We were up early this morning and had a huge breakfast and then said our goodbyes to our amazing host Felicity. We drove for the next 9 hours, finally arriving in Oliphontshoek, a very tiny settlement 1-1/2 hours from Upington. We are staying at The Ranch, which has several chalets with thatched roofs. The trip here was through farming country with corn being the main crop. As we got further north, the countryside turned more to bush and trees. It was very hot with temperatures around 35.
