From Noosa we headed to Surfers Paradise where we parted from the boys for a couple of days. We had heard really mixed reviews abour Surfers but decided that we wanted to see it and actually really liked it. Yes its full of high rise buildings and is a little tacky but had a gorgeous beach and we spent a day chilling there being interrupted only by a little shopping. Its apparenty an amazing night out but the last few weeks had really taken there toll and we instead decided that goon on the beach ( drunk from a plastic bottle, classy) while the three of us gossiped and put the world to rights was a far better idea. The next morning we got up to head to Byron Bay and dedicded the 5 min walk to the bus station was too much so asked for a lift in the advertised free courtesy shuttle bus. The receptio staff of urfers inn paradisee basically laughed in our faces ( its a grubby nasty hostel anyway). Jenks got mad at this. She argues and even took out the brocure for the hostel and angrily gestures at the area that mentioned the free bus mentioning such things as false advertising! ALthough hilarious ( and slightly scary) we got nowhere and we had to walk. After a not so very long walk after all we wventualyl made it to the bus station to our bus to Byron Bay and meet back up with the boys. SH xx
