The next day we had to get up ridiculously early so we could head to Lake Matheson and see the perfect reflection of Mount Cook in the water. Although stunning it was far too early to be fully appreciated and we all quickly got back on the coach to head to Wanaka. Wanaka is an absolutely tiny little place but it possesses possibly the best cinema in the world ever. We headed down to watch Benjamin Button and found a gorgeous old place that was filled with massive comfy couches and cushions which could not have been more comfortable ( so comfortable in fact that Jenkins fell asleep and therefore had even less clue than she normally does to what was going on in the film). At the interval they serve massive warm chocolate cookies and we happily munched on these until the end of the film. While me and Em miserably sobbed as it ended Miss Heart of Stone Jenkins and Miss Heart of Stone Atkinson remained unmoved and simply stood up and brushed away the chocolate cookie crumbs all over them. After a massive burger dinner to cheer us up we went to bed emotionally drained and ready to head to Queenstown.
