We finally got settled and happy with our room, it was nice and small room for all of us. Funnily enough, the boys had to share a dorm with other people while me and sara had a nice little room of our own! :) We decided to have a talk about what we are going to do for the whole day.
I am going to Forbidden City, i hope its not too far to walk but i realised it was a long way to find our own direction to get there. We found the language barrier quite difficult but we managed it in the end! It was hot and tiring day for me and others! I enjoyed the sightseeing and thought how amazing it is because i thought it may be average place but i was wrong! It was massive and lots of building to look around. (See the picture above) Then we were going to have our lunch at Subway and decided it was easy option because it was hot and bother to walk around in the humdity! I thought the food was nice as it was very english! The outlook building look excatly same as the one in England! I was quite satasifed with the food and we carried on explore Beijing!
When we were setting off to see the other side of town, we saw lots of people lying around and thought whats going on. It seems to be odd to see them doing that, i thought it may be the culture or something like that untill i spotted a sign saying emergency shelters!
Went to Wanfuning Street ( Simliar to London Oxford St) we were hungry AGAIN and had a look around shopping centre and saw the food stalls outside with lots of chinese foods. It did put me off because i dont even eat MEAT even seeing eels etc displaying. I cringed and thought i wont dare to try out any of it. I saw a good nightlife even it was packed of Chinese people walking past doing their shopping/having a meal! We had a nosey around and went in a couple of shops!
We all decided to go Pizza Hut just because we couldnt decide whether we should try out chinese food or not. It was funny to have a debate to see who want pizza or chinese, we all ended up voting for 'English food' I had something very different to eat, it was rice with beef and sauce. It was very nice and i was impressed i did try and ate all! Asher decided to try out the starter - Octapus! We thought he wouldnt do it but he proved us wrong! We all had a little piece of it, it tasted something like mushroom!
I am looking forward to have a good night sleep! :)
